Everything visitors ask me most often — caring for your pots, delivery, returns and how to say hello. If your question isn't here, I'm one email away.
Yes — every mug, cup and bowl is glazed with food-safe glaze, so you can drink and eat from them every day. Pots made to hold food and drink are described that way on their product page.
A gentle dishwasher cycle is usually fine, and most pieces cope with a quick microwave warm-up. That said, hand washing in warm soapy water is the kindest thing you can do — it keeps the glaze glossy and bright for years.
Handmade pottery doesn't love sudden temperature swings, so avoid moving a pot from fridge to oven or placing it on the hob. Let hot drinks settle for a moment before a big glug, and your pot will happily serve you for a very long time.
Completely. Every Obi Pot is thrown by hand, so thumbprints, glaze drips and slightly wonky rims are part of the character, never a flaw. It's the perfectly imperfect bit.
Postage is calculated at checkout, so you'll see the exact delivery charge before you pay — no surprises. Parcels are packed snugly by hand in the shed and sent tracked, so you can follow yours on its journey.
Each piece is packed by hand before it goes, so orders leave the shed as quickly as I can get them wrapped. You'll get a shipping email with a tracking link the moment your pot is handed to the postie — and you can check its status any time on the order tracking page.
Yes! A pot made just for you takes 6–8 weeks from request to your doorstep, so if you'd like something for Christmas, get your request in nice and early. Message me through the contact page to start the conversation.
Each piece is one of a kind — once it's gone, it's gone. But new pots land on the website regularly, so keep an eye on the shop, or join the mailing list in the footer to hear about new drops first.
Pottery and posties aren't always friends. Email me within 48 hours with your order number and a photo or two of the piece and its packaging, and keep everything until we've sorted it — I'll refund you in full, postage included.
Of course. Under UK distance-selling rules you have 14 days from delivery to let me know you'd like to return a piece, then a further 14 days to send it back. Pop it in its original packaging and it can travel home the same way it came.
The full returns policy — step by step, kindly and without fuss — lives on the returns page.
However you like! Email ObiPots26@gmail.com, or use the contact page — there's a little form there and your message lands straight with me. If you're wondering whether a pot will suit your kitchen, which mug is the biggest, or anything at all, just ask.
Usually within a day or two — the shed is a busy place, but every message gets a proper reply from me, not a robot.
Instagram is where new pots appear first — you'll find me at @obipots. New pieces land on the website regularly, and the mailing list in the footer hears about every drop before anyone else.
